August 2024

This was a smaller summer holiday meeting with about 9 of us in total.  Andrew bought along his new test track with generous circles of track in 16,5mm, 12 mm and 9mm gauges. It is the backdrop to all the photos of models displayed by members below.

Charlie continues his interest in large freelance diesels with this 009 model based on two Dapol diesel kits mashed together on a Bachman Class 47 chassis

And here is another of Charlie's fleet of big 009 diesels. This one is based on two shortened Dapol diesel kit cabs with everything else scratched, mounted on an unknown second hand chassis.

Andrew bought three of the new O7 Bachman quarry Hunslets for us to drool over. These really are lovely loco models.

Roger displayed a "work in progress", an 009 NDrive "Lilly" contractors loco kit, which he has begun to detail. The undercoat now shows all the bits that still need fettling! This was shown with a couple of truck kits from the 009 Society sales stand.

Andrew also bought along a new Backman 009 Baguley-Drewry 70hp Diesel in Lined Crimson, which most of us agreed was the most handsome livery of the current range.

This is Andrew's new test track, carefully made to fit the back of his car, which we enjoyed using today. Thanks, Andrew!
