There was a smaller group at the 22nd March meeting but the rain held off long enough for us to enjoy the meeting and get home before it poured down! Andrew had copies of his group logo ideas for members to see, and these are now here for you to vote on. Some of the models members brought along are shown below, and Andrew (2) showed his new 009 multi-radius circular test track, useful to see how tight a curve your models can manage! The "Inaugural Meeting" to adopt the draft constitution and elect a proper committee was postponed until the May meeting as it was important for some key members to be able to attend, and anyway there is no rush to get this done yet! For more details of this proposal see here.
Dave reprised a finished version of his model of the McKinley Cruiser (see the Feb 2025 meeting report for more details).
Paul showed this nice set of Talyllyn Railway models , including a Westcliff models Douglas kit on an N gauge Percy chassis, some 4D's coach kits and a selection of coaches from other manufacturers. Magnetic couplings from Porterhouse Models are used for this set, which solves the problem of buffer lock on tighter curves.
This is Roger's just-for-fun conversion of the readily available die-cast horse tram model into an open knife-board tourist coach
Dave (2) had this wonderfull collection of assorted locos on show - too many to list each in detail unfortunately!
This is Andrew's multi-radius 009 test track board, with curves from 4 and 5/8ths inch to 9 and 3/4 inch.
And this is Andrew's amusing Japanese motorised duck!
