About 18 of us gathered for the January 25th meeting at Portland College Cafe, and there were quite a few models to see from members, including some for sale, and a few trades went through to everyone's satisfaction. See below for a selection of the models members brought along.
Dave has modified an old Kelloggs cornflakes delivery lorry model, adding a 3d printed extension and roof, and motorising it on a 4 wheel chassis.
Alan brought along this bogie composite coach made of three Colin Ashby 4wh coach kits mounted together on what might be Parkside Dundas bogies.
Mick showed off his freelance printed vertical boiler Railcar from Eddie King, mounted on a Kato 4 wheel chassis.
Kevin bought along several very nicely printed Welsh outline resin buildings by MS Models, available online.
Ian displayed a micro Japanese four-coupled chassis which he has imported.
David has continued work on this SG 1908 closed vestibule bogies coach from a wooden kit, which he originally brought to the December 2024 meeting.
Ian has used the same chassis under a Ruston 3d print from eBay.
David continues his interest in SG Military railway equipment with this American Cold War atomic waste carrier, scratch built on salvaged bogies from the scrap box.
Andrew showed us this lovely freelance 3d print on a Kopple micro chassis, and a Simplex on a Tusagawa chasssis, found on Etsy by DoubleMpro.
