We are a group of narrow gauge railway modellers (mainly 009, but increasingly in other scale and gauge combinations as well) from around the East Midlands. We meet across lunchtime in the Cafe at Portland College, Mansfield, on the 4th Saturday of most months, though sometimes we also visit a members layout at their home. We share our models, chat about narrow gauge railways, have the occasional modelling topic presentation or a group swapmeet, and we organise Narrow Gauge Now, our annual open day. All interested modellers are welcome, and while you don't have to be a member of the 009 Society to come along, you may well be encouraged to join!
Click here for more details on our current meeting programme and the venue.
Narrow Gauge Now, our annual open day for narrow gauge modellers, has been running for some time now and it has grown significantly in recent years, with an increasing number of layouts and trade support in a range of scale and gauge combinations. We would like to invite you to the next open day on Saturday 31st October 2026 - we will have more information on this soon.
