(Shadow) Committee

Latest! Further to the earlier posts about the draft constitution (see below for a copy of it) , the "Shadow Committee" are keen to make progress on this. We would like to announce the "Inaugural Meeting" , now to be held at 12.30 as part of the May 24th 2025 meeting at Portland College. This will be to adopt the constiution, formally elect a committee, agree what we will do to sign up everyone as a member, and take a brief statement of our current financial position. The reason for doing this is to protect our financial position for the future, given the increasing success of our annual open day "Narrow Gauge Now". However, in the spirit of earlier discussions, our meetings will continue to be informal and open to anyone interested in narrow gauge railway modelling, and membership will not be a prerequisite to attend. Plus we are not planning to charge any membership fee.
