The usual suspects assembled for the June meeting in the Portland College cafe, with a lot of chat and some models brought along for sale as well. A selection oif the models on view are shown below.
Andrew B’s Canopus (Backwoods) not had a run for a while so was a bit stiff, but eventually eased itself into running reliably on Mark D's test track.
These are a freshly printed Pentawan Rly set designed by Andrew, including a carriage and two open trucks. Several sets of test prints for these models were being offered free to members, most of which were smaffled quite quickly!
Adaptions of the Minitrains models for a Macedonian prototype railway (now long gone) in Tito’s Yugoslavia by David. David and Ruth have plans to visit the remains soon! The loco just needs a red star on the side tanks.
Andrew G bought this delightful Gubbin Box "Wee Titch" on a static chassis. It is designed for the Tuswaga chassis. Gubbin Box is a 3D printer trader you can find on Facebook and eBay.
Andrew G has also made up these Gubbin Box coffee pot models. Both are designed for the micro Tuswaga chassis but the Left hand one is currently on a static version
He also showed off this Giants Causeway Tramway set, made from prints from DoubleM models.He says it took forever to get the beading painted successfully.
Dave bought another installment of his military modelling - this time an Americal Nuclear Waste train!
Dave also bought along his models of some US Navy trains.
